Today's recruitment process is such that the person in charge of recruitment (i.e. someone in HR) looks at the resumes submitted and decides which people will be invited for an interview. It is the recruiter who decides who will be considered for further recruitment and who will not, which is why a good and expressive CV is so important.
What information should a good CV contain?
Before going on to a detailed list of the most important points of a CV, it is worth explaining where the acronym comes from. CV is an abbreviation for "Curriculum Vitae," which is Latin for "life's work. As the name implies, the purpose of a CV is to tell a new employer about our work life so that he can make a hiring decision. Most importantly, it should be written effectively, concisely and to the point - it should not be a detailed description of our career path, but rather something like our career in a nutshell. The most important points in any CV are:
- Personal information - i.e. first name, surname, phone number, email address, city and date of birth,
- Work experience - listed in descending order of previous jobs. It is important to list them from the most recent to the oldest,
- skills - an extremely important part of the CV which tells directly about the skills the jobseeker possesses,
- Education - a list of all schools and universities - that is, the candidate's educational path,
- achievements - where you put all the achievements related to your career,
- References - references from former employers,
- interests - a short description of your hobbies, interests and interests.
Not everyone can write such a CV, so the smart choice is a buy resume that won't go unnoticed.
